Well his finger is healing up. His injury happened just over two months ago (5/26/11). I've attached a picture of what it now looks like. The picture was taken two days ago. The new nail is pushing out the old nail. He still likes to gross me out with it but it is healing nicely. The new nail/nailbed is pink and healthy. The old nail is working its way out.

Picture of injury. Looks like what the doctor said was true. The technician did a really good job in the emergency room when he came in with the injury.
